Lolkje Efde’s Ramchaine Musketeer was graded ‘excellent’ but unplaced in the strong junior dog class.
Lolkje Efde’s Porthos of the Hellacious Acres achieved 2nd place in the Open Dog class
Now out of puppy , our own Ramchaine MonkeyNut competed in her first junior class at the tender age of 10 months achieving her first ‘excellent’ grade - she still looked a real baby against the older more mature bitches in this super quality entry, and had a great time in the ring socializing and meeting lots of people!!

Vogue was rather over exuberant and ultra lively today with playmate Jaq as part of the show team too, she decided to cavort around and jump about and hardly kept her four feet on the ground or in order! She decided today she was not going to take showing seriously and just enjoy herself and have fun …. which she did!!!

Day at Crufts this year was on the Thursday – an awkward day for us as Bart
had to work on both the Wednesday & Friday and weekend ….
Not wanting to miss it we decided the only way to do it was to travel
before and after the show catching the midnight ferries each way and driving
through the night !! … madness ...tiring … but fun!!
It was great to catch up with so many friends again.

both had a yearlong break from showing
– so they were rather lively, full of enthusiasm and happy to be back
into the show ring !!
Martha was in the first class to be judged of the day – ‘Veteran Bitch’ at 8.30am!! A strong class of 30 exhibits, she did us proud gaining the Reserve place and enjoying every minute of it.

Also in the Veteran class and achieving 2nd place was Vogue’s mum Ramchaine Enchanting for Velvenya ( Xanthos Fletcher Christian JW ex Multi Ch. Remington Requisite of Ramchaine) belonging to Sue & Peter Francis and handled by Sue Gray – in top form, she moved with great drive, precision and style & free stood and wagged to an advantage.
Beryl & Joe Stokes’ Ramchaine Ilyssia at Jobeka ( Ch. Gunhills Game Master JW ex Multi Ch. Remington Requisite of Ramchaine ) was 5th in the super Limit Bitch class.
Our own Dutch/ Lux/ VDH Champion Velvenya Vogue of Ramchaine JW, NJK, LJK, DJK was rather young to be in the Open bitch class at only 2 ½ years of age, she showed and moved with her usual abounding energy & exuberance and was shortlisted to the last cut of a wonderful class of top quality bitches.
1st in the Open Bitch class was Malcolm & Anita’s Sh. Ch. Ramchaine Green Glow by Fenwood JW – ( Sh. Ch. Erinderry Just the Ticket from Bluewaters JW ex Multi Ch. Remington Requisite of Ramchaine) - every inch a star - she looked totally stunning and showed like a dream….. also achieving the Reserve Challenge Certificate for the second year running.
Last
year at Crufts Barnum was shortlisted into the last 8 in the Open Dog class - in
a super entry of 28 dogs - of which 12 were UK Show Champions and 10 were
Overseas Champions …..
This year the magnificent Open Class consisted of 18 males – of which 16 were
Champions! Barnum showed
with super attitude and moved with his usual
power , was again shortlisted and then went on to achieve 4th
place. We are very proud of our special boy!!

This
win gave ‘Ludwig’ his official DUTCH JUNIOR CHAMPION TITLE!!!
So he can now add the letters NJK – “Nederlands Jeugd Kampioen”
after his name too!!
Sabina Beentje’s Jacob of the Hellacious Acres was 3rd in the Open Dog Class.
Ludwig went on to achieve Best dog and the dog CAC - but as he was still only in the junior class was unable to be awarded the CACIB.

to the wonderful very large entry of exhibits made -
under FCI rules there were too many dogs for one judge to be allowed to
undertake – so all the youngsters from both sexes were given to the other
retriever judges to reduce the workload to a more acceptable figure!

the changes it was to become another successful day for our chosen showteam!!

First CACIB Show this year Ludwig's litter brother 'Hadyn of the
Hellacious Acres' ( Ch Dewmist Silk Symphony ex Philomena of the Hellacious
Acres) was 1st Excellent in his Junior Dog class with the JCAC
& JVDH awards and
gaining the day title of "Landesjugendsieger Bayern". Judge

'George' belongs and is very much loved and adored by Sven & Alexandra Buddde in Germany
Again super news from Sven & Alexandra Budde that their young Hadyn of the Hellacious Acres gained 1st Excellent in his Junior Dog class on the 10th of April at Oldenburg Championship Show, Germany, and his 2nd JCAC & VDH awards!!!
Followed by 1st Excellent in his Junior Dog class with his 3rd JCAC & JVDH awards on 23rd April at the International Dog Show in Dresden Germany
