GRCN Open Show - Sunday 1st May - Koninginneshow -

C & B now 8 months married and very much still in love ..... attended the Queens Show in Amsterdam,
 to try out two of their youngsters in the showring and were very pleased at their perfomance ....
 

 
1st in Junior Bitch & making her debut at  her very first show from an entry of 13 exhibits - our little 'SugarPlumFairy' -

Mathew went on to compete in the challenge and become BEST DOG and then Best Opposite Sex!!  


 

The FCI celebrates its 100 years Anniversary in 2011 and Germany hosted a two day double spectacular event to mark the occasion which attracted a large worldwide entry of exhibits.

Yet again we were VERY proud of the super achievements of our chosen showteam for the two days :

  Friday 6th May - Dortmund International ‘Jahrhundertsieger’-  100 Years Winner All Breed Dog Show
Judges:  Dogs : Barbara Keighley – Colbar / UK       Bitches: Kathleen Greenwood – Telkaro / UK 

1st Excellent in Intermediate Dog  with the double CAC & VDH awards from an entry of 13 males our
Beethoven of the Hellacious Acres

1st Excellent in Junior bitch with the JCAC & JVDH awards from an entry of 21 bitches and gaining the FCI 100th Anniversary special title of
“FCI – JAHRHUNDERTJUGENDSIEGER”  our  little SugarPlum - Herwildy’s Maiden Blush

1st Excellent in Champion Bitch with the double CAC & VDH awards our
Multi Ch. Velvenya Vogue of Ramchaine.

 Ludwig & Vogue were unlucky in the challenge with the CACIB for each sex that day , with the prestigious awards going to France for the males and Spain for the females. Under FCI rules the veterans, puppies and juniors are not allowed to compete for the CACIB but can go for Best of Breed….. so a proud moment for our little SugarPlum at the tender age of 9 months and only at her second ever show to be there in the line up between the two CACIB winners of the day!!

Saturday 7th May – Dortmund ‘EUROPASIEGER’ International All Breed Championship Dog show
Judges : Dogs : Kathleen Greenwood – Telkaro/ UK     Bitches: Barbara Keighley – Colbar / UK

1st Excellent with the  double CAC & VDH awards in Intermediate Dog from an entry of 15 males our
Beethoven of the Hellacious Acres - this class was actually judged by Catherine Collins –Erinderry / Ireland  as under FCI rules there were too many exhibits entered (98)for one single judge to be allowed  do on their own.

Catherine Collins  wrote in her Critique of Ludwig -  “ Very well presented young dog in beautiful cream coat, excellent outline, clean strong neck flowing into well placed shoulders, good level topline and excellent tailset, good length of upper arm, plenty of heart room, excellent bend of stifle, good bone, neat feet, moved well.”   

2nd Excellent with the Reserve JCAC & Reserve JVDH awards in Junior Bitch from the super entry of  30 bitches our Herwildy’s Maiden Blush

1st Excellent with the double CAC & VDH awards in Champion Bitch our
Dutch/Lux/German & VDH CH.
Velvenya Vogue of Ramchaine UK JW, NJK, DJK, VDHJK, LJK

Vogue went on in the challenge to win the CACIB and become BEST BITCH and  Best Opposite Sex

…… Vogue’s win at this show meant she achieved the title of “VDH-EUROPASIEGER” and also had now exceeded the required full calendar year between the number of CACIB awards achieved in over  three countries  (Holland, Luxembourg, Belgium & Germany)  to be crowned as an  “INTERNATIONAL SHOW CHAMPION”  ……  and add yet more titles to her name!!!

 

Sunday 22nd May   Bart has the honor  to judge both sexes of Golden Retrievers at
The Scottish Kennel Club All Breed Championship Show
in Edinburgh, Scotland ……. his first appointment  to be invited  to award K.C. “Challenge Certificates” in the U.K.
 Bart had the prestige to have drawn the biggest entry of all the breeds entered at the three
 day show - with 169 individual goldens entered making 242 entries.

In the Dogs the CC was won by Sh.Ch.& Irish Sh.Ch. Flyngalee Northern Lights JW
& the RCC to  Alibren Best Mate to Westervane JW

 the Bitch CC was won by  Sh.Ch. Ramchaine Green Glow by Fenwood JW ,
with the RCC going to to Sh.Ch. Linirgor  Mimi JW

in the challenge for Best of Breed the decision had to be made between the Best Dog & Best Bitch …..

The winner was the superb dog UK Sh.Ch.& Irish Sh.Ch.  Flyngalee Northern Lights JW

Who put a great performance in the main ring being shortlisted into the last six in the Gundog Group judged by the all rounder Pam Blay ( Stablaheim).

The Gundog Group was won by the magnificent 9.5 year old Crufts winning Flatcoated Retriever
Sh.Ch. Vbos The Kentuckian who had made breed history on the day by breaking the record for the most number of CCs a Flatcoat has won - with winning his 64th Challenge Certificate!!  

He then went on to become Best In Show under judge Mike Gadsby (Afterglow) and having reached the pinnacle of his career officially became retired after this fantastic string of  achievements.

THE GOLDEN RETRIEVER CLUB OF THE NETHERLANDS “KAMPIOENSCHAPSCLUBMATCH”

* Thursday 2nd June - six lady breed specialists - all from England were allocated to judge the large entry of 301 goldens for various classes on offer.

Charmaine & Bart chose ‘8’ of their Goldens to be the showteam for the day!!

A busy day for us running from ring to ring …… and then around each ring too!! - All 8 of our dogs were successful in being picked as one of the FINAL FOUR from each of their classes in super competition to enter the Main Ring at the end of the day for the completion of the judging and the placements of 1-4 in each class.

Multi Ch. Velvenya Vogue of Ramchaine - 3rd Excellent in the Open Bitch Class – which had the biggest entry of the day with 47 bitches !! judge Hilary Lambshead (Muskan)

Ramchaine Green Glitter - 3rd Excellent in the Champion Bitch Class – judge Tricia Butterworth (Applebrook) - her first show after a long maternal break for her third litter…. and glad to be back …. well done our precious Jade xXx

Saturday 4th June – Neumunster International All Breed Championship Show , Germany

While we were still recovering from the busy GRCN club show - Alexandra & Sven Budde showed their Philomena son ‘Haydn of the Hellacious Acres’ under Dog judge Erling Kjaer Pedersen (Denmark) and were thrilled with him becoming 1st Excellent in his Intermediate Dog class with the
CAC & RCACIB awards. A super result !
