Our sweet
Barnum daughters Fuzzy & Jina travelled together with Bart for their
roadtrip to Sweden for their romantic rendezvous !!
Bart and
the two girls had fun exploring the surroundings and sights on route from
Holland,
and through Germany, Denmark and across the bridges into Sweden. .... !

Fuzzy had measurements taken at the three points shown in the diagram at the time of mating :
We did not have her scanned to see if she was pregnant as it was clear to see she was getting bigger around her middle, ribcage and waistine week by week!!
At 6 weeks gestation she had grown in circumferance by
~ 14 cm at point B ( by the last rib) & 12cm at point C ( her waist) !!
..... so we can safely say she is definately pregnant with quite a few inside!!
( and still 3 more weeks to go!! )
Our
3 expectant mums to be enjoying a walk in the sun before their maternal duties
begin in June : ~

Fuzzy (Barnum /Jeree)
Fuzzy
has a pampering session on day 50 of her pregnancy, in preparation motherhood!
She
is bathed and blow dried, brushed and combed, has her feet and nails
‘manicured’ / ‘pedicured’ , and has her ears, teats and teeth cleaned.
Now
looking all beautiful, fresh and clean.
At
8 weeks gestation Fuzzy ( on the right) has grown around her middle from
A
~ 76 cm
at 2 weeks gestation to 80cm at 8 weeks post mating
B
~ 70 cm
at 2 weeks gestation to 99cm at 8 weeks post mating
C
~ 63 cm
at 2 weeks gestation to 88cm at 8 weeks post mating
Only ONE more week to go!!
Our Fuzzy/Leif
puppies are here!!
Fuzzy had
an easy delivery of her 10 x babies
during the middle of the night. With
the first arriving just after midnight and the last at daybreak!!
So no
chance of sleep for us!! She had 3 super girls and 7
wonderful boys which all
weighed in at over 500g .

It wont be
long before we need to use two baskets to put them all-in when cleaning their
box and bedding!
we decided
to have a ‘W’ theme for our Fuzzy/Leif puppies ~
so being a Scottish breed in origin, they are all named after various
Scottish Single Malt ‘Whiskys’ and will be :

The 7 x
boys are marked in blue and the 3 x girls in green in various places to identify
them,
and the
whole litter have the hair on their right hind pastern cut half way down so
there can be no cofusion with Jina’s puppies which were born the day befor (
and which are marked as black boys and purple girls) .
Our Fuzzy
adores her babies and even when not feeding just likes to lie
and snuggle up with them and was hand lick them all !
Puppies at
the Milkbar .... at 2 weeks of age the 10 puppies have milk feeds from their
mummy every 2 hours!!
The Fuzzy/Leif
babies are 2 weeks old
.... luckily Fuzzy does have 10 x teats to feed the her 10 but feed time scan be a bit hectic, and the puppies panic that they might miss out on the milk flow and climb over and scramble under each other until each get onto their own nipple to suck.
Our fun loving 'Fuzzy' - Ch. Ramchaine Moonstruck has been mated to our cuddly, sweet 'Noah' - Multi Ch. Noah of the Hellacious Acres
Both are: A/B hips ;
Zero/free elbows ; and have a current CLEAR eye certificate
Puppies hopefully expected around New Years Eve!

Fuzzy 8 weeks in whelp to Noah and already
her biggest belly part gone from 75 cm at 4 weeks gestation to 106 cm...
So an increase in her girth of 31 cm!!!
Sunday 28th December ~ our Fuzzy/Noah puppies are born!!
A Basket Full of Love : ~ 4 x Gorgeous Girls & 4 x Beautiful Boys
( with one girlie a noticeable shade of green as she came out totally wrapped in her placenta!)
The babies were rather huge at birth with most weighing in at OVER 600g!!!
.... the heaviest being 665g!!!
( the usual birthweight for a Golden pup is around 350-500g)
This special litter is to be named after songs from the Scottish Band “Travis” –
as a tribute to a very special old Golden known as “Travis” ; bred by us and belonging to special friends who sadly died earlier this year xXx
So the Boys will officially be :

The babies have their eyes open at 15 days of age and have developed jet black pigment in their noses, lips and eye rims.
Till now the puppies have spent their time feeding and nestled against mummy or in a heap fast asleep.
2.5 weeks old and no longer scooting fast across the vetbed but trying to lift their big bellies off the ground and toddle about in a rather wobbly and staggering fashion!!
The puppies are growing
fast, their coats have got thicker and more dense and plush and little teeth can
be felt under the gums
The puppies are all
weighed and recieve their first worming treatment at 17 days of age. They are
all approaching 1.5 kg
