Fern is looking good at 8 weeks in whelp , no ultrasound scan was needed to confirm pregnancy as her circumference around her middle changed very noticeably from 4 weeks pregnancy onwards ... so weknew there should be a few little ones growing inside!!! Her belly girth measurements taken at 3 points- behind her shoulders, over the end of her ribcage 7 just before her pelvis went from
76cm – 70cm – 66cm at 4 weeks of pregnancy to
88cm – 97cm – 91cm at 8 weeks gestation !!!
Puppies 1 day old
The Puppies at One Week of age and all but the biggest born have already doubled their birthweights.
At 7 days of age the babies are still unable to see or hear and their ears and eyes are still closed over.

Our 3 year old Sebastaian thought it quite a fun activity to cover both himself and the puppies in his precious ‘Disney Cars’ stickers .... when caught in the act he wasn’t quite sure if his actions of sharing out his stickers would be approved of !!!
Sebastian has a cuddle with one of the boys.
Saturday 14th November – Fern’s babies are 2 weeks old , feeding well and growing fast
‘Hello World!’ .... our eyes are open!!
Looking cute at 16 days – coats are growing thicker and ear hair becoming wavy!!
2.5 weeks of age and we are either fast asleep or feeding !
The
puppies have their first tastes of real food at 3 weeks of age
– raw beef minced meat - sucking
it down fast with great enjoyment x
Individual
bowls as they all get the hang of eating so they can all get their fair share
Puppy
weaning food is added to the minced meat at 3.5 weeks and eaten with relish for
breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Fern
is a brilliant mummy and lies on her back so her growing puppies can all reach
the milkbar and get a teat of their own to suckle.
